Songbijit's (Sanghvijit's) faction of the Bodo Independence Movement of the Bodos, Assam's most significant Adivasi ethnic tribal groups, have been attacked by the Indian Colonial armed forces, allegedly guided by "Tea Plantation" workers descendants of tribals imported from Jharkhand, etc., and have retaliated with pogroms against these Tea Plantation imported tribes.
In response, there have been counter-attacks by these "Plantation Tribes" against Bodos.
Last year, and intermittently, Bodos have committed pogroms against Bengali Muslim settlers largely from Bangadesh who have increasingly demographically outnumbered the native Bodos in their own lands.
At that time, the Bodos were identified by the Media as now being predominantly Hindus. I looked that up and found that to be true — at the present, most Bodos have assimiliated informally from their Bodo Animism to Hinduism, a small minority retains pure & traditionalist Bodo Animism, an extremely tiny minority joined "Christian" sects.
The Bodo tribals, Aborigines of the Assam Valley, were Animists who had historically rejected Hinduization under the Thai-Ahom dynasty that founded modern Assam over the last 400 years, but have now, under Bengali Muslim colonizational pressure, largely assimiliated to Hinduism.
In the present conflict, they are falsely portrayed as "predominantly Christian" militants by the Lügenpresse / MSM, by the Assam CM Tarun Gogoi's & Modi's regimes. This is a lie.
Equally false, mischievous & malicious is the pretension that the tribes being pogromed by the Songbijit Bodos are "Adivasi" or "Aborigine" in Assam.
There is a story told of an Indian student (I believe probably Dhingra, Savarkar or one of their associates) in England during "British" rule being introduced as the "only native" in the room, to which he retorted, quite rightly, that he was the only non-native in the room!
The fighting in Assam, regardless of the ethnic identities and alleged causes of perpetrators & victims, is inexcusable; human beings must learn to live with each other, to accomodate each other witthin reasonable limits.
After its lying rethorics against the Songbijit Bodos, the Gogoi Regime now publicly admits that its intemperate, lying propaganda is backfiring, alienating all Bodos & galvanizing all Bodos to mobilize. No sane person wants a worsening of this quarrel.
People from all sides must walkback inflamatory talk & make peace. Enough of human beings killing humans.
