John 1:1-13 «In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him: and without Him was made nothing that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. And the Light shines in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to give testimony of the Light, that all men might believe through him. He was not the Light, but was to give testimony of the Light, that was the true Light, which enlightens every man that comes into this world. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, He gave them power to be made the sons of God, to them that believe in His name; who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.»

Isaias 9:2 «The people that walked in darkness, have seen a great light: to them that dwelt in the region of the shadow of death, light is risen.»

Matthew 4:16 «The people that sat in darkness, have seen great light: and to them that sat in the region of the shadow of death, light is sprung up.»

John 8:12 «Jesus spoke to them, saying: "I am the Light of the world: he that follows Me, walks not in darkness, but shall have the light of life.»

Exodus 23: 24 «You shall not adore the gods of the Pagans, nor serve them, nor do their works.»

Leviticus 18:3 «You must not follow the practices of any of the Pagans, nor walk according to their customs and laws.»

Leviticus 18:30 «You must keep My charge not to practice any of the Abominations of the Pagans, and be not defiled by their practices, for I am the Lord your God.»

Deuteronomy 12: 30-32 «Do not imitate the Pagans, saying: As they have worshipped their gods, so will I also worship." You shall not do in like manner to the Lord your God. What I command you, that only shall you do to the Lord: neither add any thing, nor diminish.»

Deuteronomy 18:9-14 «Beware that you do not imitate the abominations of the Pagans: You shall not expiate your sons or daughters, making them to pass through the fire: or consulteth soothsayers, or observers of dreams and omens, neither let there be any wizard, nor charmer, nor any one that consulteth pythonic spirits, or fortune tellers, or that seeks the truth from the dead. For the Lord abhors all these things, and for these abominations He will destroy them at your coming. You shall be perfect, and without spot before the Lord your God. These Pagans hearken to soothsayers and diviners: but the Lord your God instructs you not to do likewise.»

Josue 23:7 «You must not invoke the names of the Pagan gods or swear by them, and you must not serve them or bow down to them.»

Ephesians 5: 11-17 «Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For the things that are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of. But all things that are reproved, are made manifest by the light; for all that is made manifest is light. Wherefore he says: "Arise! You that sleep!, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall enlighten you!" See therefore, brethren, how you walk circumspectly, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore become not unwise, but understand what is the will of God.»
