Dr. Jules Gomes came over from Henrican Protestantism over to the NovusOrdoist "Catholicism," which is Roman Protestantism, Modernist Apostate, & Panreligionist. I have always doubted his conversion. This post, regurgitating & endorsing the heresy of James Hodges, and another, below, where he also regurgitates other Protestant "talking points," show that either Dr. Gomes never truly, sincerely, reverted to Catholicism, or that he's backslid!

1. «Malachi prophesies that God will send His messenger to prepare God's way, and "he will purify the descendants of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, until they present offerings to the Lord in righteousness"» (Malachias 3:3), which Gomes says happened when our Lord called Matthew the Levite to be His disciple. Factually, it was fulfilled in two parts, the first part being fulfilled in the suffering of the Asmonean AKA Machabean Levites, but Protestants reject the Books of Maccabees as "Apocrypha."


2. «The Pharisees are sick but refuse to acknowledge their need for healing. They think they don't need a doctor. They think religion will save them. That is why Jesus responds with a prophecy from Hosea 6:6: "I desire mercy, and not sacrifice." Religion does not save; Jesus saves.»
